'Angry Video Game Nerd' A Disappointing Failure

If you are frequent purveyor of our blog, you may know that we're HUGE fans of Cinemassacre - home of the brilliant web series, The Angry Video Game Nerd. Matei most notably works on Rolfe's famous Internet series The Angry Video Game Nerd , for which he co-writes, plays a variety of characters ( Jason Voorhees , The Cowardly Lion , The Joker , Leatherface , Bugs Bunny , a Klingon , Michael Myers , etc.), and illustrated the title cards for episodes 5-100 as well as 139.

Read Mike's Blog ✜ I know there are many more Spider-man related games that were not covered here, such as maximum carnage, the Spider-man arcade game and so on. The point of this video was to look at the 3D environment spider-man games, since the next game coming in 2018 will be in that style.

Thanks for taking the time to talk to Nintendo Enthusiast, Mike. The Angry Video Game Nerd show has a cult following, and made James Rolfe one of the most popular internet celebrities before the advent of YouTube. Mike mega man 2 was my first favourite game. The video covers a number of games including Streets of Rage 2 and X-Men.

The UI of megaman games is very simplistic mainly because of the hardware limitations (The hardware can only display 8 sprites per scanline for the people who doesn't know!) so i think changing costume is a clever move. In September 24, 2008, Rolfe collaborated with another famous internet reviewer Doug Walker, to create a fictional feud between the two's most famous characters; the Angry Video Game Nerd and the Nostalgia Critic.

Mike: I'd like to see a Universal Monsters video game that's actually licensed by Universal. Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures begins in the most predictable way possible as the nerd gets sucked into a bad video game where he must fight his way to the end. Even the later Megaman games were quite fun little treasures to play, each unique to when they were published.

Hopefully, you enjoyed getting to hear a bit about one of the all-time greats of gaming videos. The full AVGN theme song was used for the first time in this episode. Mike Mike Matei was gracious enough to take the time to talk to Nintendo Enthusiast and we picked his brain on his history, his love for Nintendo, and what he has coming up. We proudly present to you an exclusive interview with the one, the only, Mike Matei.

There are a few videos where Mike Matei does a game review with Inspector Gadget, his most notable collaboration is "Minecraft with Gadget", where Gadget pokes fun at the series repeatedly by calling the game "Mineycrafty" and "Minecrap", and saying that hes having a lot of fun building "brown bricks" in the game.

The AVGN reviews Silver Surfer (NES). So in total you have 1 + 34 + 34 = max of only 25 unique colors on screen at a time (without any code magic voodoo)… for each entry you can pick one of the unique 52 colors from the video generator, this is known today as the NES Palette.

In ThatGuyWithTheGlasses's first anniversary special, the Critic and the Nerd begin to settle their score once and for all, eventually joined by other contributors to the website, in which gamers sided with the Nerd and reviewers sided with the Critic.

It all starts with Mike and Gadget furthering their plans to take over Cinemassacre completely in James's absence as they turn to the audience and greet us. Mike politely introduces the audience to a well-animated Inspector Gadget that puts the original outsourced DiC cartoon to shame.
